Photos from a visit to Rut's home village in Northeastern Thailand.  Many of the homes have looms on which cloth is woven for garments.  The basket being made will be used to hold cooked "sticky rice".

Rut's mother still works the rice fields, where enough is grown to feed the extended family for a year.
